For example, partaking in gardening classes is a great way to embrace all that the fall has to offer in this unique region of western Washington. On September 9 and the 16th classes are offered through Christenson’s Nursery. Classes typically start in the morning and go until noon. Contact the Nursery for more information. In addition, let’s not forget about the Annual Textile Stash. This is a fun opportunity to purchase a variety of textiles. The event takes place from 5 PM to 7:30 PM at Vintage La Conner. Browse among wearable art, fabric, fibers, yarn and a variety of equipment and supplies commonly used in crafting textiles. Even patterns and books can be purchased at Vintage La Conner and the annual textile sale.

The end of September also means that the whole family can enjoy the popular Pumpkin Fest also put on by Christianson’s Nursery. This event takes place from 11 AM to 3 PM on September 30 and is a must attend for those with young children. With fall in the air, pumpkins abound and the fun never ends in friendly La Conner Washington.  In October, there is the 20th anniversary festival of the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum.
